Tour Details

01: 00 A.M: our tour manager will pick you up from your hotel Hurghada by a private air-conditioned modern vehicle to drive to Cairo (approximately 6 hours) Arrive to Cairo, our Egyptologist guide will accompany you to discover the exquisite Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus, the Sphinx with a head of a pharaoh and lion’s body, which dates back to the reign of King Chephren, and the Valley Temple of the Pyramid of Chephren, then visiting the sphinx .

 After that proceed to have your lunch with view of sphinx & pyramids.

 Then we will move on to the Egyptian Museum which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewelry which was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.

 

Optional excursion: Sound & Light:

Visit the Pyramids again at night to enjoy the famous Sound & Light Show at the Giza Pyramids. After the Show, we will take you on a short visit of some of the old quarters around the Pyramids.

The Sound and Light Show at the Giza Pyramids is a unique experience where you will learn about Ancient Egypt, Giza Pyramids, and the Sphinx while enjoying the beautiful light effects. After the Show, we will take you on a short visit of some of the old quarters around the Pyramids.

 Optional excursion: Lunch on a Nile Cruise

Spend a wonderful and relaxing evening on a Nile cruise enjoying delicious Egyptian food and listening to entertaining Egyptian music.

In the evening we will drive back to your chosen hotel in Cairo and make check in hotel.

The Cairo Citadel, which is located on a high hill (Muqattam hills) overlooking old Cairo. It is one of the largest surviving citadels in the Middle East. The construction of the Citadel was first undertaken by Saladin between 1176 and 1183 A.D and was completed in 1238 A.D, long after the death of Saladin. During the rule of Mohamed Ali Pasha in the first half of the 19th century, other monuments were added to the Citadel the most famous of which is the Mohamed Ali Mosque, which you will visit as well. The mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Egypt. The architect of the Mosque was a Turkish man named Youssef Boushnaq who based his plans on the famous Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul (also known as the Blue Mosque).

Afterwards, you will visit Old Cairo and few of its most famous monuments, such as the Hanging Church (built in the 3rd century A.D) and the Amr Ibn El-as Mosque (the first mosque built in Egypt) and walk in the old area with explanation from our professional guide. Afterwards, we will take you to the Khan El Khaleli bazaar.

In the evening will take our bus to drive back to Hurghada.
